Sweet Monday
The Womens Missionary Union (WMU), an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention, was founded in 1888 with the purpose of educating adults, youth, and children about Christian missionary work. At Wayside Baptist Church, the WMU includes two organizations for women. Women on Missions (WM) and Baptist Young Women (BYW). These groups meet monthly to discuss missions outlined in the WMU magazine, The Mosaic, as well as to plan and implement various mission projects proposed by members. Some of our recent missions include donations of hygiene supplies for prisoners, Christmas JOY boxes for orphans and needy children, and Trunk-or-Treat night for community children.
