The music program of Wayside Church strives in everything it does to meet Ephesians 5: 19-20 and Colossians 3:15-17 which tell us to speak to each another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. As we sing and make music we are always thankful to God and always let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God. It is our desire to provide a comprehensive music program that brings everyone, no matter what age, to a spirit of praise and worship by not limiting our music to one style or genre. We provide a broad range of music styles including hymns, southern gospel, gospel, contemporary, etc. blended together to reach everyone tastes so that everyone may have an encounter with God. As we lift our voices and instruments in song we strive to create an atmosphere that invites God to dwell and move among us so that lives may be touched and filled with his spirit. Currently, our program includes a family choir(made up of people of any age), congregational singing, children’s choir (made up of children in first through sixth grade), instrumentalists, and soloists providing music for 3 services weekly. The family choir presents special holiday programs as well as leading our worship services each week. Periodically, singing groups are invited to present concerts to our congregation and guests. Future plans for our ministry include a youth choir, drama team, and praise band.
