Wayside has a growing children’s program! Beginning with the nursery class for our youngest babies, the Sunday School department has a place for all kids and youth on Sunday mornings. These classes, led by dedicated adults, are age appropriate and offer Bible training prior to the morning worship service. After Sunday School, children to age ten are offered the opportunity to participate in Children’s Church. Under the leadership of Mrs. Nancy Thomas, Children’s Church continues Bible training and character education during the morning worship time. A new curriculum (Noah’s Park) will be used in 2008 and will include stories, puppets, songs, and crafts that teach God’s Word. Another program involving our children is conducted during the worship service on Sunday evenings. KIDS CLUB, under the direction of Mrs. Christy Brewington, highlights choir time as well as Bible lessons and crafts. Children have fun learning songs to present to the church on Sunday mornings. An exciting new program for children at Wayside will begin in the next few weeks! This program will focus on missions and ways to involve children in helping others in our church and community. More information will be provided as the program is implemented.
